Bookings and sales for the new EV will begin across all 14 MG showrooms nationwide.
Following the success of the MG S5, which has been available in the market since last year, the company is bringing in a larger, more powerful, and technologically advanced EV. MG has already made a strong impact in Nepal’s growing EV segment, and this new model—featuring advanced technology, modern design, and an impressive range—is expected to be an attractive option for customers.
According to MG’s Marketing Head, Sandeep Sharma, the vehicle is targeted especially at customers seeking premium features and long-distance capability. Designed with a focus on family needs and modern technology, the SUV is expected to strengthen MG’s position in Nepal’s increasingly competitive electric SUV segment.
The MG S6 EV is powered by a 180 kW motor and comes with a 77 kWh battery pack, supporting up to 144 kW DC fast charging. Its rear-wheel-drive system delivers 244 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. On a full charge, the vehicle offers an estimated range of around 529 km, based on WLTP standards. “The interior of this EV has been designed to be highly comfortable,” said Sharma. “The front seats come with both heating and ventilation functions, while the rear seats also offer heating.”
Compared to previous models, the MG S6 EV includes several advanced technological upgrades. The vehicle is built on MG’s modular scalable platform, which also underpins the popular MG4 EV. The design is sharp and aggressive, inspired by the MG Cyberster roadster, featuring angular headlamps and distinctive styling elements. At the rear, a full-width LED light bar enhances its modern look.
The interior combines advanced technology with user-friendly functionality. It features a 12.8-inch infotainment screen and a 10.25-inch digital driver display. Despite the modern touchscreen interface, essential physical controls have been retained for ease of use while driving.
The vehicle offers a 674-liter boot space, which can be expanded up to 1,910 liters by folding the rear seats. Additionally, a 124-liter front trunk (frunk) is available for storing charging cables and smaller items. From a safety perspective, the MG S6 EV has received a 5-star Euro NCAP rating. Other features include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, an 11-speaker audio system, a panoramic sunroof, built-in streaming apps like YouTube, and wireless charging.
